Huntsville may be known for the famous Walls Unit, but the familiarity of the Wynne unit within the city limits isn't far behind. Originally established in 1937, the John M. Wynne Unit has become home to some of TDCJ's most unique industrial endeavors, housing license plate, mattress, and computer recovery factories.
