Diana Drake, who has a spinal cord injury, is mother to Ryan Savannah, born on April 10, 2023, with care from Sunnybrook’s Accessible Care Pregnancy Clinic. “People with disabilities can be moms,” Diana says. “We’re still learning, and as she grows we’ll need to adapt and learn. But all new moms have to adapt and learn. It might just look a little different from everyone else.
