Nov 6, 2024 · Greetings, SEGA fans! We've got some news to share regarding our Classics bundles. As of December 6th, 2024 we'll be saying farewell to new purchases of the SEGA Mega Drive and Genesis Classics & Dreamcast Classics. Both of these great bundles and select individual games will be delisted on Steam December 6th.

Jan 16, 2025 · Sega does not register patents so that it can monopolize technology and use it exclusively, but rather with the policy that other parties can use Sega's solutions as long as they apply for a license and pay an appropriate price for it.

My Arcade has been using arcade roms in quite a few of their more recent units so Golden Axe and Outrun might be the arcade games and not the Genesis ports. I own quite a few of these My Arcade units and they’re really nice little devices...

Jan 22, 2025 · Sega, Capcom and Square have such a massive back catalogue that I would easily see them leveraging it into a service, similar to what Nintendo does. Maybe have smaller games on there day one, discounts on newer games, etc etc.

Nov 6, 2024 · Good to hear, looking forward to it! Reading that list of well know Sega titles that are currently in development is a bit depressing if one thinks about that bottomless creative bursts that characterized the former Sega tho. We'll see how things pan out from there at least.

Dec 23, 2024 · I feel the stuff Capcom and Sega are bringing back are a pretty different category versus whatever MS is releasing. Sega and Capcom are bringing back beloved IP that either stopped selling well, or never sold well, where as MS is bringing back stuff that was already successful that they just stopped producing.

Nov 6, 2024 · First, Sega delists the individual classic Sonic titles to push the (much more expensive) Origins collection. Now, this. Delisting will never not be a stupid, anti-consumer decision, even if the games do end up becoming available again later, in some altered form.

Jan 13, 2025 · Which leads to the question, would SEGA bring Agent Stone into the main canon? It wouldn't be the first time spin-off characters or non-canon content was folded into canon, as Sticks was referenced in Frontiers & the G.U.N. Commander's Archie name (Abraham Tower) was made canon thanks to Sonic X Shadow Generations: Dark Beginnings.
