Lohner’s selection marks the fourth consecutive year that a Utah player was selected in the draft, a streak that started in 2022 when the Jacksonville Jaguars picked linebacker Devin Lloyd in the first round.

The 6-foot-7, 250-pound player began playing football in 2024 and caught four passes — which all went for touchdowns — and a two-point conversion. In his first career game, he caught a 20-yard touchdown pass.

The most inexperienced player selected in the 2025 NFL draft was Utah tight end Caleb Lohner, who was drafted in the seventh round by the Broncos.
