The bodies of 55 victims have been pulled from the Potomac River in Washington, D.C., following the midair collision between a commercial jet and a Black Hark helicopter on Jan. 29.

Authorities said Sunday they have recovered the remains of 55 of the 67 people killed in the deadliest U.S. air disaster since 2001.

A passenger jet and a Black Hawk helicopter collided in midair Wednesday and crashed into the Potomac River near Reagan National Airport near Washington. At least 40 bodies had been recovered as of Thursday evening,
