Ford is recalling about 240,000 Explorer and Lincoln Aviator SUVs due to a problem with seat belt anchors that were improperly secured

Ford and Rivian have issued recalls affecting a total of about 257,000 vehicles in the United States over separate seatbelt and headlight issues, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said on Friday.

Ford Motor is recalling 240,510 vehicles in the U.S. over potential seat belt issues, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said on Friday. The recall affects certain 2020-2021 Ford Explorer and Aviator vehicles where the seat belt buckle anchor bolts may be improperly secured.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration announced Ford recalled Explorers and Aviators. The vehicles’ seat belt buckle anchor bolts may not be secured correctly. The recall affects some 2020 and 2021 model year Explorer and Aviator vehicles.

Ford is recalling more than 149,000 vehicles because of issues with the rear shock absorbers, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. For a complete list of recalled vehicles or to see if your car needs repairs, check the NHTSA website.

Ford Explorer and Lincoln Aviator SUVs are being recalled because their seat belts may not have been installed correctly.

Unfortunately, the news follows a recall for nearly 300,000 Ford SUVs. However, while the latest camera recall falls under the NHTSA’s Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) for rear visibility, the January SUV recall named faulty batteries in Maverick pickup trucks and Bronco Sport models.

The company is currently recalling certain model years of its Expedition SUV and Super Duty pickup truck, along with a small number of the Corsair SUV from Ford’s luxury Lincoln line, due rearview camera failure, with over 72,000 potentially affected vehicles, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
