Tesla chief executive Elon Musk has assumed oversight of sales in Europe and the U.S. following the high-profile departure of Omead Afshar, Bloomberg News reported on Tuesday, citing people familiar with the matter.

Analysts have attributed the drop in demand for Tesla vehicles to Mr Musk’s allegiance to US President Donald Trump, which has seen the company’s share price drop by more than a quarter since he took office.
