Mayor Brandon Johnson’s office improperly blocked public access to a City Hall room where mayoral staff said they’ve stored Gucci bags, designer cufflinks and other gifts, according to an investigation by the city’s Office of the Inspector General.

While attempting an undercover inspection of the mayor's gift room, investigators were denied access to a log of gifts that is supposed to be publicly available.
