The Pittsburgh Steelers added Russell Wilson and Justin Fields ahead of the 2024 season, giving both quarterbacks a chance to start and prove themselves.

To say Darnold’s 2024 numbers are unsustainable is probably putting it kindly. But the current free agent quarterback class is… shall we say, thin. It includes the aforementioned Wilson and a 41-year-old Aaron Rodgers who may retire. Plus, there’s Justin Fields, Daniel Jones, Cooper Rush, Jameis Winston, Joe Flacco and Trey Lance.

Although the Pittsburgh Steelers look to be negotiating with both Russell Wilson and Justin Fields, Wilson could end up on a new team. Teams like the Las Vegas Raiders and New York Giants have emerged as players. The New Orleans Saints have emerged as a team that could be a serious threat to sign Wilson away from the Steelers.
