As anticipation continues to build for “Grand Theft Auto 6” (“GTA 6” or “GTA VI”), one of the most anticipated video game releases in recent memory, new reports suggest that fans will have to wait a bit longer.
Gamers of the world will have to wait a bit longer to get their hands on Grand Theft Auto VI after its maker Rockstar Games announced another delay in its release with the popular video game now due out in November 2026.
As hopeful fans await Grand Theft Auto 6 while grappling with yet another delay, Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick has assured that Rockstar Games "will deliver an unrivalled blockbuster entertainment experience."
This is the second significant delay for Grand Theft Auto 6: It had originally been set to release for consoles in fall 2025, but in May was pushed back to the May 2026 release date. Rockstar said at the time that "we need this extra time to deliver at the level of quality you expect and deserve," a message very similar to the one shared today.
Tom Henderson says that Grand Theft Auto 6's delay is costing Take-Two $ 10 million a month, for a total of $ 60 million.
