Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a semitrailer hauling cases of eggs crashed Tuesday afternoon in the northeast part of the state as winter weather moved into the area.

When a traffic accident involves a rig hauling thousands of eggs, social media users bemoaned the loss of the cargo.

Tuesday afternoon, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported that a semi-truck crashed on the Will Rogers Turnpike outside of Tulsa. While only minor injuries were reported by officials, the semi-truck was hauling eggs, which have spiked in costs due to a bird flu that's affected costs not only at the grocery store, but restaurants as well.
