The Denver Nuggets dropped a critical Game 5 to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday night by a final score of 112-105. It was a painful loss, as Denver led by as many as 12 points and was up 86-78 at the start of the fourth quarter.

Not even an astounding performance from Nikola Jokić was enough to defeat the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday.

The Denver Nuggets once again failed to maintain their grip on the series. Despite Nikola Jokic delivering another stellar performance and helping the team secure a lead in the first half, the Oklahoma City Thunder mounted a powerful comeback in the second half in Game 4.

Nikola Jokic, the three-time MVP center for the Denver Nuggets, has struggled for much of the Western Conference semifinals against the Oklahoma City Thunder. After he had 42 points and 22 rebounds in a Game 1 win, he shot under 40% in each of the next three games.

The Denver Nuggets and Oklahoma City Thunder couldn’t wake up their offense with an early tip for Game 4 on Sunday.
