Stock indexes and Treasury yields end the week little changed.

The S&P 500 and Nasdaq ended lower on Friday, with investors on edge over the Iran-Israel conflict heading into the weekend, as the U.S. considers whether to get involved.

Follow the action in markets on Friday as stocks trade lower and the S&P 500 heads for a potential weekly loss.

“If the Middle East is unstable, the world will not be at peace,” Chinese President Xi Jinping said Thursday. “If the conflict escalates further, not only will the conflicting parties suffer greater losses, but regional countries will also suffer greatly.”

Israel has joined the many countries in the Middle East which all travel is advised against and high caution is recommended in much of the region

For years, Israel contained its conflicts with Tehran, Hamas and Hezbollah. The broad assault on Iran highlights a shift in strategy.
