The Department of Justice asked New York judges to unseal more evidence in the Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell criminal cases, but still hide identities.

T he Justice Department is seeking to unseal the exhibits shown to the federal grand juries in New York that indicted Jeffrey Epstein and his former companion Ghislaine Maxwell in addition to the transcripts of testimony, according to a court filing Friday.

Maxwell’s lawyers called unsealing the materials “a broad intrusion into grand jury secrecy” as she tries to appeal her conviction to the Supreme Court.
