Katy (Texas) remain the nation's top two softball teams; Orange Lutheran (California) is the latest newcomer in this week's rankings

This week’s top 20 high school softball rankings of Southland teams from CalHiSports.com. Eric Sondheimer is the prep sports columnist for the Los Angeles Times. He has been honored seven times by the California Prep Sportswriters Assn. for best prep sports column.

In Class A, Jamescille-DeWitt is back in the ranking at No. 5 this week, and Skaneateles is No. 4 in Class B. Cicero-North Syracuse, Whitesboro, Chittenango, Marcellus, Sandy Creek and Hamilton are still the No. 1 teams in their respective classes. Rankings will be revealed on Tuesdays until the end of sectionals.
