Current winter weather alerts have most of the viewing area in a Blizzard Warning (orange). The counties in purple are in a Winter Weather Advisory. Winona County is the only county with a Winter Storm Warning (pink). All alerts start at 7 am Wednesday and will last until 7 pm Wednesday.

Moderate to heavy snow, wind gusts up to 70 mph and visibility one-quarter of a mile or less are expected Wednesday.

Snow and wind will develop Tuesday night and through the day on Wednesday leading to blizzard conditions and dangerous travel in much of Siouxland.
