Hurricane Priscilla has begun weakening in the Pacific Ocean but is still expected to bring heavy rainfall to portions of the southwestern U.S.
Forecasters are also monitoring Hurricane Imelda, a system about 340 miles west-southwest of Bermuda. The Bermuda Weather Service issued a hurricane warning for Bermuda, as the core of Imelda will be near the island through Wednesday night. The remnants of Humberto are about 340 miles north-northeast of Bermuda.
All of New Jersey has been under a state of emergency since Saturday night. It’s expected to last into Monday, authorizing the state’s emergency services personnel to be activated as necessary.
