President Donald Trump’s Department of Education has told K-12 schools and higher learning institutions that Title IX protections will be recognized on the basis of biological sex.

The Trump administration’s Office of Civil Rights said in a “Dear Colleague” letter Friday that it would enforce the 2020 Title IX rules, not the Biden administration’s rule expanding the definition of sex discrimination to include gender identity.
