Dana Stubblefield's rape conviction has been vacated, but a ruling by an appeals court is keeping the former San Francisco 49ers star in prison.

SAN JOSE – A man was killed in a shooting Monday night on Interstate 280 in Santa Clara County, according to authorities. Just before 10 p.m., officers were dispatched to a report of a crash in the center divide north of De Anza Boulevard, the California Highway Patrol said in a news release.

Defense attorneys are decrying a judge’s finding that he lacks jurisdiction to grant Stubblefield bail following an appellate court decision to vacate his conviction and prison sentence.
