Linda-Coleman Madison, D-Birmingham, said the negative impact of these cuts goes far beyond Social Security office services. “This is going to have a huge impact on our local economy and Alabama’s workforce,” she said. “Alabama has taken pride in reducing our unemployment rates; seems like our president is reversing this trend.”
