The demonstrations were carried out in many parts of the country on Monday, leading to clashes with police. Footage taken in the capital, Nairobi, shows security officers pulling down demonstrators, beating them with sticks and firing tear gas. Police say at least 11 people died and 567 people were arrested in the country.
