A ll Blacks great Jeff Wilson has laid into the 2025 British and Irish Lions after they escaped with a 2-1 series victory over the Wallabies. Andy Farrell’s men emerged victorious in the first two Tests to wrap up the series prior to the third game, but they failed to become the first Lions side in almost a century to whitewash their opponents.

The Lions were unbeaten through their first eight matches of the summer and came from behind to clinch the Australia series in the second Test, but fell to a 22-12 defeat in Sydney in their final tour outing.

The British & Irish Lions had already done enough to assure their legacy before their dream of a 3-0 series triumph was washed away in a maelstrom of lightning, rain and defiant Australians on Saturday night.
