Ohio State's football game against UCLA is the first time it has hosted a night game during the regular season after the second weekend in November.

The third College Football Playoff rankings of the season are out, with a top three of Ohio State, Indiana and Texas A&M. Georgia moved up a spot to No. 4, while Alabama dropped from No. 4 to No. 10 after its loss to Oklahoma. Texas Tech was fifth and Ole Miss was sixth, while the Sooners moved into the at-large field by jumping up to No. 8.

No. 17 USC recorded a statement win with a 26-21 victory over No. 21 Iowa at home. The Trojans held the Hawkeyes scoreless in the second half and erased an early 21-7 deficit to move to 8-2 (6-1 Big Ten). USC was powered by another big performance from star wide receiver Makai Lemon, who finished with 10 catches for 153 yards and a touchdown.
