At 5 a.m. Friday, the National Hurricane Center issued an advisory stating that Humberto found new strength and had evolved from a tropical storm into a Category 1 hurricane with sustained winds of 75 mph.
The storm was traveling at 10 mph just north of the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico and heading east where it was expected to reach the Gulf Coast of Florida sometime on Wednesday. The impacts are already here,
At 5 p.m. Saturday, the National Hurricane Center issued an advisory stating that Tropical Storm Jerry is in the Atlantic Ocean, 460 miles south-southeast of Bermuda. It is moving to the north at 16 mph, with maximum sustained winds of 50 mph.
