The Detroit Lions face the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 11 of the NFL season on Sunday, Nov. 16, 2025 at Lincoln Financial Field.
Blustery winds, chilly Sunday for Eagles game as cold front moves through Philadelphia. Here's the forecast. A quick warm-up takes place tonight as a strong frontal system approaches from the northwest. A few showers linger around overnight, mainly north of Philadelphia, with a low chance of a rumble of thunder.
Detroit Lions pass rusher Aidan Hutchinson says the Sunday night showdown against the Eagles is "must win" and it's been circled on the schedule for a long time
The Detroit Lions are continuing their preparation for the Philadelphia Eagles, returning to the practice field on Thursday afternoon. Kerby Joseph, who has missed the past three games, was again not practicing. He did come out to support teammates during individual drills.
That schedule is different this week — narrowing the lead-up to one of the most anticipated games of the year: Eagles-Lions, a matchup of two of last season’s best teams and two of this season’s top contenders. With that in mind, let’s wrap up the Eagles-Packers game with eight Eagles thoughts and turn the attention to the Lions game:
Johnico’s favorite memories as an Eagles fan are from the 2017 season, when the team won their first Super Bowl. He was captivated by former Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz’s third-place MVP season and still replays the moment Eagles legend Malcolm Jenkins knocked Patriots wide receiver Brandin Cooks out of the first half.
Afternoon temperatures will settle in the low 50s, though the “RealFeel” temperature will be cooler, in the mid-40s. By game time, the sky will become mostly clear as temperatures continue to drop into the mid-40s. The “RealFeel” temperature will fall further, into the mid-to-low 30s.
Guys who once played the game no doubt see it differently when they become head coaches. Dan Campbell is evidence of that. His first Detroit Lions staff was full of former players, including a longtime Philadelphia Eagles running back and assistant, the beloved Duce Staley.
