Memphis has recently flashed a dosage of pick-and-roll plays where Edey comes to the top of the key and sets a screen. That hasn't been a staple of the offense this season, but it was sprinkled in during Monday's win against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Wells is third in Rookie of the Year odds behind Washington's Alexandre Sarr and San Antonio's Stephon Castle. Miami's Kal'el Ware is fourth and Edey is fifth. Wells is averaging 11.8 points and 3.3 rebounds. His scoring puts him slightly above Sarr and Castle, who are each averaging 11.6.

Taylor Jenkins knows the Grizzlies have to get better at using rookie big man Zach Edey's unique offensive skillset while limiting turnovers.

Steven Adams, who played three years in Memphis, is convinced that rookie Zach Edey will continue to thrive with the Grizzlies.
