Paramount Global Content Distribution will stage the world premiere of “Boston Blue,” the universe expansion from the long-running top drama “Blue Bloods,” on the eve of this year’s Mipcom Cannes, the world’s largest market for television and streaming content (Oct.

Boston Blue will have its world premiere in Cannes at MIPCOM on Oct. 12, ahead of the series’ U.S. debut on CBS on Oct. 17. Series lead and executive producer Donnie Wahlberg and co-star Sonequa Martin-Green are set to attend the premiere and participate in a post-screening Q&A.

In the series he is paired with Detective Lena Silver (Martin-Green), the eldest daughter of a prominent law enforcement family. As Reagan settles into his new city, he also hopes to reconnect with his younger son, Sean (Mika Amonsen), who is beginning his own police career in the city.
