An odd night down at Progressive Field ended the best possible way: a walk-off win for the Cleveland Guardians. The winning swing came from Kyle Manzardo in the bottom of the ninth inning to give the Guardians a 2-1 win over their division rival Minnesota Twins.

Nearly two hours after the Minnesota Twins and Cleveland Guardians game was supposed to start, the tarp was taken off the field — for the first time. By that point, rain had fallen for about a minute.

Guardians starter Tanner Bibee opened the game with 11 straight outs. Carlos Correa ruined the vibe with a two-out double in the fourth, but Bibee came back and retired Trevor Larnach to end the innng and protect the 1-0 lead thanks to a Bo Naylor homer. The lead didn’t make it through the fifth.
