Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight has been set to write the new installment in the James Bond movie franchise being directed by Denis Villeneuve.

There’s something quietly thrilling about the news that Steven Knight is writing the next James Bond film — thrilling in a way that doesn’t rely on car chases, gadgets, or a henchman with a titanium jaw (though, if that’s his bag, we won’t say no).

Knight will write the script for filmmaker Denis Villeneuve, who is directing the next 007 film for Amazon MGM Studios and producers Amy Pascal and David Heyman.
