Police determined a quarrel between two people was the cause of the security scare. Both were located and apprehended, police said.

Two individuals have been detained by police after a dispute resulted in a lockdown and large police presence at Westfield Old Orchard Mall in Skokie on Tuesday afternoon.

The mall, at 4905 Old Orchard Center, was placed on a temporary lockdown about 3 p.m. Tuesday for reports of shots fired. The Skokie Police Department said at 3:44 p.m. that the calls were unfounded,
