Eight months after launching, the Chicago Sports Network will finally hit the airwaves on Comcast, but it’s going to cost subscribers more to watch the White Sox, Bulls and Blackhawks.

What made Comcast, the dominant TV provider in the area, agree to end its blackout of CHSN after more than eight months? It certainly wasn’t the teams’ play.

CHICAGO—Chicago Sports Network (CHSN) and Comcast have signed a carriage agreement that will bring CHSN, which is the exclusive television home of more than 300 Chicago Blackhawks, Bulls, and White Sox games, to Xfinity customers across the Chicago area.
