When the Las Vegas Raiders traded a 2025 third-round draft pick to the Seattle Seahawks for Geno Smith and signed him to a two-year, $75 million contract extension, the vision was that they had secured their quarterback for the next couple of seasons.
That's in the past now though and the Raiders can look ahead to the future. They are certainly armed with plenty of picks in the upcoming 2026 NFL Draft, where they'll continue trying to build the silver-and-black into a contender.

Head coach Pete Carroll made an announcement on Friday afternoon, revealing McMahon had been relieved of his duties and replaced by Derius Swinton III on an interim basis.
McMahon arrived in Las Vegas in 2022 under new head coach Josh McDaniels. McDaniels was fired midway through his second season, but McMahon retained his job under Antonio Pierce.
Against the Denver Broncos on Thursday Night Football, Las Vegas didn't get nearly as much offense, scoring just seven points and garnering only 188 total yards. Still, the Raiders had an opportunity to knot up the score at 10 with a 48-yard field goal. Unfortunately, Daniel Carlson couldn't hit it.
