KHAN YOUNIS, Gaza Strip (AP) — More than 69,000 Palestinians have been killed in the Israel-Hamas war so far, Gaza health officials said Saturday, as both sides completed the latest exchange of bodies under the terms of the tenuous ceasefire.

JERUSALEM (AP) — Israeli authorities confirmed Thursday that the remains of a hostage returned the previous day from Gaza are of a Tanzanian agricultural student in Israel who was killed on Oct. 7, 2023 in the Hamas-led attack that started the war.
Officials at Gaza’s largest hospital say 15 more Palestinian bodies have been returned from Israel. This follows last month’s ceasefire agreement.
Lt. Hadar Goldin is one of five remaining slain hostages which are meant to be returned to Israel by Hamas as part of the Trump administration’s Gaza peace deal.
The set of remains handed over to Israel on Tuesday were those of Itay Chen, the final remaining American Israeli hostage, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said.
