The principal at a North Bay high school who was put on leave following a stabbing at the school last week will not return, according to the school district. Gabriel Albavera was placed on leave from Elsie Allen High School in Santa Rosa last Thursday after a student was stabbed on campus.

The community will get to express their concerns over losing the district’s longest-tenured high school principal.

One student was injured and another student was facing an attempted murder charge after a stabbing took place on the campus of Elsie Allen High School in Santa Rosa Tuesday afternoon, police said.
