The Georgia Department of Health (DPH) has confirmed two more cases of measles in metro Atlanta residents. The two cases were unvaccinated family members of the case confirmed in January. DPH contacted some people who may have been exposed through contact with the people with measles.

According to a release from DPH, the two family members may have been exposed through contact with the first person who contracted the virus.

ATLANTA, Ga. (WTOC) - The Georgia Department of Public Health has confirmed a measles case in an unvaccinated Georgia resident. DPH says the person resides in Atlanta and they are working to identify any persons that may have been exposed through contact with the individual between Jan.19 and Jan. 24, 2025, when they were infectious.
