The Alabama Senate passed a bill intended to ban Glock switches. The bill states a person who has possession of the device would be prosecuted with a Class C felony charge. Parents celebrating the bill's passage see the ban protecting their children.

The bill’s enactment follows ongoing advocacy to ban Glock Switches by the Big 10 Mayors. In February, the Mayors joined Gov. Ivey and legislative leadership to announce the “Safer Alabama” package of legislation, which included this Glock Switch ban.
