(WHNT) — The Alabama Crimson Tide has taken a tumble in the latest College Football Playoff poll. Alabama is ranked No. 10 in the committee’s poll on Tuesday, six spots lower than last week’s ranking after the Tide’s loss to Oklahoma.
Alabama had a chance to cruise into a first-round College Football Playoff bye if it had beaten Oklahoma on Saturday. Instead, the Crimson Tide lost its first home game since the 2023 season 23-21.
Alabama dropped six spots to No. 10 in College Football Playoff rankings after losing to Oklahoma on Saturday. The Crimson Tide are now fifth among SEC schools in the rankings after the Sooners moved up to No. 8 from No. 11. Texas A&M remained at No. 3 behind Ohio State and Indiana and Georgia moved up to No. 4 after beating Texas.
If the Big 12 becomes a two-bid conference for the CFP bracket, then it might be adios for Alabama. Yes, really.
