The Trump Administration can push through with its plans to dismantle the Department of Education after the Supreme Court allowed it to continue laying off nearly 1,400 employees.

Education Department: In a major victory for the Trump administration, the Supreme Court on Monday let it fire over 1,000 Education Department employees and functionally eliminate the agency. The department manages federal college loans, tracks student achievement and enforces civil rights laws in schools.

The decision paves the way for President Trump to continue dismantling the agency, including moving career and technical education to the Labor Department.
